Before you start worrying about bimax surgery and canthal tilt, let me ask you something: do you even have the basics handled? I'm talking about fundamental hygiene and grooming that gives you a clean, put-together appearance. This stuff is literally free or dirt cheap and the ROI is massive.
This isn't a "just shower bro" cope post. This is a comprehensive checklist of things that genuinely affect how people perceive you, and most guys on here are neglecting at least 3-4 of these.

The bottom line: None of this is groundbreaking. But I guarantee most of you reading this are neglecting at least a few items on this list. Handling ALL of these basics puts you in the top 20% of men in terms of presentation alone. No surgery required. Lock in the fundamentals before you start worrying about advanced looksmaxing.

SKIN:
- Wash face AM/PM with gentle cleanser
- Moisturize daily
- SPF every morning
- Tret or adapalene at night if you have acne/texture
TEETH:
- Brush 2x daily with electric toothbrush (Oral-B or Sonicare — infinitely better than manual)
- Floss every night. No exceptions. If you don't floss you have food rotting between your teeth
- Use whitening strips (Crest 3D White) once every 6 months for a brighter smile
- Tongue scraper every morning — this alone eliminates 90% of bad breath
- If your teeth are crooked, get orthodontic treatment. Invisalign or braces. A good smile is a top 3 halo
HAIR:
- Find a hairstyle that suits YOUR face shape. Go to a proper barber, not a $10 Great Clips
- Wash hair 2-3x/week, not daily (stripping natural oils makes it look worse)
- Use a conditioner
- If you're thinning: finasteride + minoxidil. Start early before it's too late. Talk to a derm
- Keep eyebrows groomed — pluck the unibrow and strays but don't over-shape them. Natural but clean
BODY:
- Shower daily (obviously)
- Use a proper deodorant/antiperspirant. NOT just body spray
- Moisturize your body after showering — ashy/dry skin is not it
- Trim body hair if it's excessive. You don't need to be smooth but keep it maintained
- Keep nails SHORT and CLEAN. This is something girls actually notice and most guys ignore
SCENT:
- Invest in 1-2 decent fragrances. Doesn't need to be $200 Creed. Versace Pour Homme, Dior Sauvage, or Bleu de Chanel are solid everyday options at reasonable prices
- Apply to pulse points (wrists, neck). 2-3 sprays max. If people can smell you from across the room you've overdone it
- Don't use fragrance to mask bad hygiene. Shower first, fragrance is the finishing touch
CLOTHES (Basic Framework):
- Clothes that FIT properly > expensive brands that don't fit
- Dark, solid colors are the safest bet if you don't know what you're doing
- Get basics: well-fitting jeans/chinos, clean white sneakers, solid color t-shirts that aren't too baggy or too tight
- Iron or steam your clothes. Wrinkled clothes make you look like you just rolled out of bed
