hey guys, since i study ancient greek and latin (and a lot of words that we use come from these languages) i thought it would be fun to explain the etymology of some looksmaxx related words.
As we all know the word "nootropic" identifies a series of substances attributed to the role of improving concentration, memory, reasoning, motivation and mood.
but did you know that this word actually comes from ancient greek?
its a mix of two words.
specifically the noun "
νουs
" (mind) and the verb "
τρεπω
" (to move)
so a nootropic is etymologically something that moves your mind in a direction.
now you know
do yall want me to make others too?
feel free to tell me a word you are curious about.
hope you liked this
