Stocks Money Maxxing: Index vs Individual Stocks (What’s Your Play?)

If your goal is to build real wealth (not gambling), the first fork in the road is simple:
  • Index investing (ETF like S&P 500 / Total Market): boring, consistent, low effort
  • Individual stocks: higher upside, but requires research + emotional control
My take: most people should build a core index position, then use a small “satellite” portion for single stocks if they enjoy research and can hold through pain.
Question: Are you 100% index, 100% individual, or a mix? What % is your “fun money” allocation?
